Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas My Friends!

It's been long, isn't it? Been busy lately (past few months). Office work still my number one headache nonetheless. The lazy syndrome did struck me hard which consequently makes me in the 'amnesia state'. He He

I just wonder...kenapa malaysian celebrate krismas guna polok pain dan salji olok-olok? Dekat oversea pun bukan selalunya white christmas. Heran kan? ker aku sorang yang fikir camni.

Anyway, to all my friends yg sambut Krismas, selamat bergembira di hari natal.

The Value of Time

To realize the value of 1 month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of 1 week, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of 1 hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of 1 minute, ask a person who missed the train.
To realize the value of 1 second, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of 1 millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have!
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!!

Menjadi Baladewa Sebagai Laskar Cinta.

The Sweetest Place pula berbicara tentang hakikat kematian. A place where dreams and life become one.

Saturday Nite Fever

The Saturday Nite Fever (SNF) have been a catchy phrase since John Travolta dance in the movie with the same name. I’m not quite sure what does the ‘fever‘ refers to. Dictionary defines it as:

1. Abnormally high body temperature.
2. Any of various diseases characterized by abnormally high body temperature.
3. A condition of heightened activity or excitement: a fever of anticipation.
4. A contagious, usually short-lived enthusiasm or craze: disco fever.

So, Saturday Nite Fever could be a situation where you have an abnormally high body temperature (in some occassion due to diseases) a.k.a you are sick and need a night off. Or it could be the opposite, it might be an exciting activity that you are addicted to every Saturday Nite (clubbing, cinema’ing, tupperware partying etc..) The word fever seems to have two completely opposite meaning, how interesting…

It is saturday nite..yet neither symptom of any nausea nor sudden changes of my body temperature. Heightened activity? Let me think…Clubbing? Not an option…Cinema? An option yet it is already midnite..no more show. Tupperwaring? Not fond of any MLM’s kind. Blogging? Maybe.

Tonite is another saturday nite without a fever…unless there are John-Travolta-shake-his-bon-bon movie on TV!

Hari Bertemu Pelanggan

Hari Bertemu Pelanggan (HBP) is a popular term in the Civil Services nowadays…it is one of the criteria used as a benchmark for Q of services. Many Governmnet Offices had gazetted certain days or date for their HBP. Quality eh? I wonder…

Today is my HBP day..the whole day is dedicated to my beloved customers (my former CEO did mention them as our customers - without them we are nothing!). But my HBP is quite different. It stands for my weekly High Blood Pressure. I think I need to make sure my life insurance covers HBP. Insurance? I really hate that Mr Slimer aka the unwelcome insurance guy that keep on nagging me to pay extra RM 100. Even thinking of him can give me a headache…frowning about him had definitely increased fine lines on my face. I blame you Mr Slimer for this premature aging face!! errr..do the insurance cover for any cosmetic surgery? :-)

Payday is just around the corner…again, I’ll be richer for one day or two, then live below poverty rate for rest of the month..Yet, watching the Bersamamu Reality TV always reminds me of the less fortunate people out there. Sob..sob..sob…

Then I realized that I am lucky to have this job (which I always whinning about) eventhough it always led to my HBP .

Blame The Mamak!!

I Hate Monday!

No..not because Mr. Isnin once spare me couple hours of a pretty ‘zzzzzz’ing lecture on teaching gadget, not because Garfield hate Monday..and of course not because I have mee goreng mamak for brunch. I just hate it because it kills the the pleasure of no-rush-to-office-and-work-till-you-drop which I enjoyed during the 48 hours weekend.

So, what did I do since morning? Hmm…let me see. Punch-in (red seems goes well with that yellow card). Show my pretty face (with a soo… prentious smile) when I catwalk into the office. Short chit chat with amoi, then back to my seldom used No 13 room to avoid the so called burden-to-be person (no real name involved for privacy purposes). Read one article which I’ve been carrying around for the past few days - I finally managed to summarise the gist in half an hour. A time like this without others stealing your bandwith of time is really precious.

I went out early for brunch, purposely to bring Nemokeneter to clinic. Pity Old Nemo, no happy face could be seen for this few months. Maybe it is because of the another young and handsome rival…the spect…fuh!! Very sexy and full with surprises! Any sane man could not ask for more…especially when you get it for free. However after RM 200 poorer due to the clinic charges, old Nemo now is as good as new. By the way, Old Nemo commercial name is Nokia 9210i Communicator ( Bear in mind, Nemo is not mine…it belongs to my other half)

Back in the office, I realized that not much to do either. Work scheduled for tomorrow also already taken care of. Oh, am I that efficient? I am not happy with the cluster on my desk- try to sort it out but I afraid that after implementing 5S to this desk I ‘ll have problem to search for any document later on. It happened to me before. Serious!! it took me hours to find it in the organised way.

The Halo Effect of others seing my desk for the first time is that I am not an organised person. This is my system of organising - the clustering way. Mind you, if my desk is neat and very organised it shows that I do nothing. Yellek! Why should I cluster all those papers, books, pen and whatever on my desk if there’s nothing to do? My motto : Cluster is Work. No Cluster, No Work. (Precaution: Dont follow this at your Offfice or Home. The risk is unbearable)

It’s 10 minutes to 6.00 pm. Being the honest type of person (he he), I stayback in the office to sort other tasks for this week plus to show to my boss that the red stamp on the yellow card always followed with an extended office hours. As daylight is slowly fading (welcome night..I miss you), I still hate today. First it is Monday, and second, the diarrhoea after brunch still continues. What a secondhand bowel of mine! And yes…now I am blaming the mamak for such a ‘wonderful gift’ he gave me for today!

Ethnic Relations in Malaysia (Kompilasi Esei Berbaur akademik)

I read Sabah’s Way is a Celebration of Difference in NST lastweek (13/8/2005) which reminds me much of my family. As a product of a mixed marriage Bajau-Dusun parents, story like this represent the way of life many families (if not all) in Sabah. This explained why there were many faces of Sabahan. Not only we have various suku kaum here, the mixed marriage factor also contributed to the Sinos (Kadazan/Dusun + Bajau + Brunei + Rungus + Suluk + Bugis etc). This asnwer the question of my semenanjungians fellow friends on the variety looks of our AF artists- Adam the Bajau, Felix, Marsha, Linda the Dusuns, Haider the Suluk, Mas & Yazer (not sure) maybe Bugis and Tidong. Their thick accent marked their appearance as truly Sabahan. Definitely a lot of choice here..mari-mari come to Sabah. But be prepared before you said Mahal Na Mahal Kita (I love you) to Sabahan lady. The hantaran is quite Mahal also!

Ok. back to social tolerance!
We Malaysian were advised by the politicians and ministers up there to create social tolerance. Aisehman..We cannot simply acknowledged the existence of social tolerance after being told to do so. Although we are living our life in reality, this is not a reality TV show that we can simply vote and SMSing in order to create social tolerance. Damm for those who thinks social tolerance can be simply achieved through 3 credit hours course in the Uni or like buying Yong Taufu from pasar malam. Social tolerance is a life long effort and it should begins from the micro level - yes….the root for social tolerance is the family institution. Parents should teach their children (from the early stage) to respect others regardless of race or religion. Parents, this is your responsibility, dont burden this to teachers only!

I strongly believed that parents play an important role in educating our young padawan about social tolerance. And as see it now, my parents had an excellence job in teaching their 12 children the value of harmony in a mixed marriage family. I shall pass this valuable lessons to the next generation of my young padawan for them to pass it to their next padawan generation…and so forth.

Maybe on one fine day we all can proudly announce that we are Bangsa Malaysia, no more Malay, Chinese or Indians! The main issue however, are we willing and ready to be a truly Bangsa Malaysia?

Afdlin Shauki Goes Crazy?

I went window shopping to my favourite site and came across this crazy yet daring offer from this fellow blogger. The craze hit me as well, so I took the challenge (not merely due to his ‘celebrity’ status) but the idea of appreciating others quality works. Our society (read: Malaysia), I think is still in a slow motion transition to be a critical and educated audience. Not that our people are not well-educated academically. We are!! Our education policy is so dynamic indeed…just to ensure that our graduates quality relevant with contemporary labour market needs.

Opsss…wrong channellah. Back to the crazy offer mentioned earlier. If you really want to know, just visit his site Afdlin Shauki: Inside My Head. I could not give any view of Fuyoo yet as I myself still waiting for him to post it to me. But as a Fan Antik of Afdlin, SultanMuzaffar’s review (27/10/2003) did help me to imagine how it would be. The review was made nearly 2 years ago, time where I dont have the luxury of my own PC, let alone the internet. Looking back then, I realized how much has time flew and how much I’ve changed (This includes the horizontal development of my size..muahahaha).

The moral of today’s entry: Being crazy in this crazy world seems not a crazy idea at all!!

Hello World!
